Is there a way to angle a column, in particular a column that will be used to hold a verandah at the entrance of a building. e.g a column is usually 90 degrees to the ground but is there a way to put it on a angle of 80degrees to make it a feature?
Thanks in advance.

You don't say what type of column and that would help.  2011 is supposed to have some better features for this problem.  If you are talking about architectural columns, consider an in place family.

An in place family vs a loaded family..  An inplace family is simply created in the project and can not be used in another project.  In-place families are best limited to one of a kind elements and are not meant to be used in multiple locations.

Befire you seven start with this, find the Families Guide on the autodesk site and download that.  It will go through the family building process.

I would model this column in-place using a solid blend.  How to do that will be found in the families guide.

To access the Revit Architecture Families Guide, click (Help) drop-down arrowFamilies Guide.

Welcome aboard.
