We have a fundamental problem putting doors/windows in our basement walls. Our basement walls have their funtion set to "Foundation", which means the walls come in BELOW the level they are drawn in. But when we add a door/window, these always come in ABOVE the level they are drawn in. So is there a way to make our doors/windows come in BELOW the level they are drawn in, or do we need to change our basement wall function to something other than "Foundation"?

Don't use a foundation wall where you should be using a wall. Revit considers foundation walls as part of foundations .,.. they won't act the same as walls. Consider these walls as regular wall (bearing) but below grade.
