Greetings RevitCity nation! I am a first year architecture student using revit for my studio design, loving it! Anyways, as I am a complete beginner, I am very new to plotting drawings in AutoCAD, using lineweights etc. This is even worse when it comes to exporting Revit files to dwg, which contain a set of predetermined line weights. My first project I plotted to pdf, it had no line weights, so I had to manually change line weights in Illustrator. Sorry to drag on, but my request is, I am looking for help, or please direct me to a site, where it can show me basics in plotting, assigning lineweights etc. I want my drawings to be effective as possible but also learn how to use CAD properly. I know this might be more of a CAD topic. Thanks so much

Unlike CAD, Revit assigns lineweights by category. We don't use layers or colors for that purpose but if we export a file to CAD, Revit uses a conversion file to determine what layers / colors to put the lines on in CAD. You can read about exporting to CAD in your HELP. You don't need to do what you are doing. I don't know what PDF driver you are using because the PDF should show the lines correctly - that is with assigned widths. What are you using? Cute PDF is a fress program that works very well.
