i have read many posts about how to do them and i understand the process. but what i need to to do is have the parameters be drawing sheet and not project information. I have followed a cad clip video for revit 2009, but i am using revit 2010. the problem i have is when i am back in my project and adding the shared parrameters to the project and i want to put them in the drawing sheet catagory, that catagory is not there in 2010 it just has project information. just needing to where i find the drawing sheet catagory in 2010. i can make shared paremeters and put them in project information just fine, but that is not where they need to be. Thanks for any all help Pete

Goto manage / project parameters and add your shared parameter to sheets there.

I have gone through the process and the shared parameter shows up and is loaded into the project, but when I go to change the Reference sheet number, it turns into a lighter blue ? that can not be changed to anything. This worked find in 2009. I set the parameter to "Sheets" instead of "drawing sheets" like in 2009, but no luck. See attached image. Thanks for any help!

once younhave made the title block and added it to your project you need to addrd the parameters to your project. you do this under the manage tab, project management. once you do this you will be able to edit the new parameters from the title block.

I had already done that before the last post, it still gives me nothing! Are you getting it to work? Thanks!

yes it works for me. if you are getting the lighter blue tells me you have not linked the parameter correctly somewhere in your process. this is how i did it. i made a title block family and made my parameters in the title block (by making a shared parameter file). then once i placed the title block into the project i had to link the paremeters i made from my shared parameter file into the project. that way they all can "talk" each other with the same information. sounds alot like you have not either made a shared parameter file or not linked it correctly. i used the help menu to figure it out. i will say though it took a while and alot of trial and error.
