See the attached image but I have tried everything I know to do with getting this magenta line changed to black.  I have gone through an tried to over ride the wall element and it will not change.  Any thoughts on whats going on and how to change it?  These are the only line in the entire plan that are colored.  Thanks for any help!

That is the strangest thing that I have ever seen. Usually purple means that you selected it with your cursor. Try clicking on something else. If that doesn't doesn't work I have no clue what's wrong.

use linework tool?

Color is a VG issue.  Look at your object styles and if you have linked files, turn on show categories from all disciplines.

Looks like a room seperation line or area boundry line to me as both by default are purple.

If not needed you can simply delete, or go to VG and turn either one or both off.
