Hi, Im using revit 2009 and attempting to adjust line weights I would like to have lineweights that take account of materials, so that (for example) in a wall containing both masonry and timber layers, the masonry layers would be outlined more heavily. Is this the purpose of the "materials" field in the object styles / model styles dialogue? Im not really sure what that field is supposed to do, or whether what I´m attempting is possible, Any ideas? Thanks

Lineweights are controlled through your Object Styles settings. Walls are system level and the breakdown of styles in walls is limited to what the program has defined. Basically that is the outer line of the wall and all interior lines are another setting. So the answer is you can not do what you want through automatic settings.
