I need to use a Sketch-Up model as a background for my Revit 2010 model. I can import the file by Insert>Import CAD or Insert>Link CAD but I can't cut sections or view it in plan. I tried to insert it as a mass by Massing & Site>In-Place Mass> then Import CAD or Link CAD, but I can Finish Mass. (Error message - This family instance has too many edges and faces. Remove unnecessary geometry or split the instance into multiple instances.) Any ideas?
