Does anyone have a wall mounted handrail I could download or know of a way to create a wall mounted handrail in revit? I have tried using the railing tool, but couldn't delete the ballisters. Thanks for your help.

The rail is just a normal rail. Replace the balusters with the bracket (Bracket - Wall mounted handrail) from the library. Adjust the spacing accordingly.

A good resource is the on-line library. I know ... I know ... it is no longer used in 2010! Yes ... but the 2009 / 2008 stuff is still there! Look in the 2009 location and you will find some sample projects - stairs - fences - handrails... Lodd up these projects and use them as a resource. You will find preset stairs and handrails that you can copy/paste into your project and use.

Are you talking about this: http://revit.autodesk.com/library/html/index.html or this: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=12827697

Merci Typhoon. But the first link is to a french site. It suggests that the english version is not located on Seek. I am not a fan of Seek as it seems to be mostly a collection of manufacturer-created families ... and they are way over modelled and too large for use in an architectural model. The second link delivered a small collection of structural steel families. WWHUB suggested that prior to 2011, there was an on-line library of revit families, beyond the rfa files included with revit. If this is so, I would appreciate it if someone can point me to this library. Thanks, again.Ian

iamian33, - Seek includes the installed Revit library.
- Although some of the manufacturer content is overdone, that is not true for all of it. You just have to take the time to look at the families.
- I did not say that there were additional "families" on the AutoDESK site but there are several resourcesthat are not in the library. One should look at the "SAMPLE" items like stairs, railings, and repeating details. The Library is located here:> http://revit.autodesk.com/library/html/index.html
