Forgive my beginner's ignorance - but I am trying to place a door in my model. I am on the correct floor plan and have all neccessary walls/lines active. But I cannot place it. I can however if I switch to 3d and angle the view slightly. Any idea why this is and how to fix it? Many thanks...L

And then when I go to look at it in plan, they do not appear, but do in 3d. What's going on?

Wierd... what kind of doors/windows are you insert? Some images in plan and 3D will help?

A couple of things.

First you should really not have lines in a floor plan view.  The Revit doors are looking to be hosted by wall objects.

Second, are you tying to insert and view the doors in a "floor plan" as activated in the project browser?  A 3D view oriented to "top" is not the same as a floor plan in Revit.

There could also be phasing issues, view range issues, VG issues etc.

Revit can get very complicated and hopefully you have gotten the proper training or at least have gone through the tutorials.

Note to self: Don't put interior doors on exterior wall!
