Does anyone know how to put in grade beams that does not have a wall above them?

ok - do I just put in a structural wall for a grade beam and just don't use a footing?

In Revit Structure you can model concrete beams...simply load the family and modify it by creating the specific types as you go.  Are you using Revit Architecture?  If so, I am not familiar with the interface as far as tool layout in the arch program - but I would guess you should be able to place concrete beams...someone else might want to jump in on that if this is the case.

We are using Revit Structure - we just didn't know if we should use concrete beam or structural wall.

I understand now...I would assume using beams would make more sense because you could modify them as you would like.  I have done a few jobs requiring grade beams before I started using RST, but not since!  It would be nice to know what you find out, thanks-
