I'm trying my first project in Revit - a small pavilion as a bell structure (sounds simple).
The roof is to be made of precast concrete, formed as the result of the intersection of 2 spheres, with the sides cut away by extruded cylinders - columns yet to be inserted.
I have modeled the roof as a Mass element, and now realise it should have been modeled as a Structural slab as a separate family - any ideas how to turn into a family would be appreciated.
Secondly, the foundation beam underneath is modeled as an in-place family. I can't seem to set the properties of this to get it cutting with the same fill as the slab, nor can I manage to see it dashed in plan view. Ideas for these would be appreciated.
Thirdly - is it also possible to have non-vertical structural columns ?? What type of family would I best model the multiple steel columns as instead.
Many thanks
