Hello, I can't seem to figure out how to get a truss to show in plan view under a roof in Course detail level. I've tried all the typical truss families from Revit and they all don't show. Am I using the wrong roof, settings, etc. I've changed the roof transparency to invisible, which allowed for the truss to show, but now all the cmu walls won't show hidden under the roof. Has anyone else ran into this problem and/or found the fix? Thanks

Try to edit that beam family go to "Visibility" and turn on "Coarse" then load into project and check.

If that fails and you are doing it just to print out a drawing. you could cheat and use the detail line tool and just draw them onto your sheet view. not ideal but it'll work

Typhoon, I tried what your showing but when I open the truss family for edit its only showing the symbolic lines for top chord, bottom chord, and web...and when I do click on the lines and edit the visibility they are showing that coarse is checked. I thought the truss family was different than the beams and joist family or is there a truss family that acts like them? Thanks Kardiff, Ya thats what I did on the last project too. We don't use the truss that much, but when we do we've had to fudge it. I was just hoping there was a step I was missing... Also thank ya'll for your help.

Try making your roof trasparent.

TKennedy, I've tried the "Graphics Override" and changed the roof to transparent, which worked, but the project is mainly load bearing cmu and all the walls going to the bottom of the roof turned to solid lines and I need them to stay hidden. I thought about changing/overriding the properties of the walls at the roof level, but it doesn't seem like I should have to be doing that...Thank you for your help.
