Hi - I've goto a question. I'm sorry if this came up somewhere before but i could not find anything. Basically what i need is to create a dimension style with "±" embedded prefix. I know I can add this while editing the dimension element properties, but it's a problem while there can be many dimension lines of this type.

After making the dimension you can click on it to open up the dimension text box. you can add prefix and suffix's there (as well as any text you want above or below the dimension)

As I've said - I know i can do it that way, but is there a way to create a dimension style with the embedded prefix? edit: Or is there a way to add a prefix in many dimensions at one time?

Sorry I misread from having a little play I don't think so. As you can't set it in the element type properties only in the dimension text type

Thats too bad becouse its irritating to have to click every single one dimension to change this, especialy if a drawing contains many of this type.

I agree, there should be a way to set a dimension type with a prefix. i guess i have to spend a bunch of time adding +/- to a bunch of dimensions...

I agree. We also use MAX. or MIN. as a suffix on a lot of our dimensions.
