using Revit Arch 2010 Hi, I've having trouble creating trapezoidal edge panels for a curtain wall. This particular design is a rectangular plan with an incline in one direction vertically. The front and back walls are therefore vertical parallelograms, with the side walls being inclined rectangles. Inserting custom typical curtainwall panels in both facade types went well. The edge panels for the inclined sides automatically shortened as needed. However, I cannot seem to create the trapezoidal panels for the edge panels of the front and back facades. When I replace a basic glazed panel with my custom panel for the front/back, an error message says that certain panels cannot be created, and it defaults back to the basic glazed panel. I tried to create a custom corner trapezoid panel, but it will not let me replace the panel in the model. I have attached a screen shot, along with the typical panel and attempted corner panel families. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Anyone? I guess the basic question is whether it is possible to modify an orthagonal curtain wall panel to fit a trapezoidal edge module in a facade (besides the default glazed/solid panels)? Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. I was wondering if you have found a solution for this problem?

You will need to create that in the "Conceptual Mass" and also, you will need to create one panel in a family "Metric Curtain Panel Pattern Based" then you have what you want, check a simple example in my image.
By the way, watch this guy: http://buildz.blogspot.com/
