Hello all Any heip here i am new to revit 2010, thinking of the best way to bring in cad 2008dwg 3d blocks and change to a revit (family). any help grateful.

What kind of families do you want to create in Revit with those DWG files? You must understand one thing, when you insert DWG or SKP (sketchup) files into a Revit family they are "Dumb" objects, they aren't parametric, you can only apply materials on it IF you follow some rules... Check the HELP menu for that.... Also, here you have a nice tutorial: http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials/how_to_grow_your_family/

Thanks for the link Typhoon much appriecated, Looking at the format in the link it seems to me if you have lots of cad dwg's to import, this is a lot of work for very little gain,would i be right i assuming that?.
