I am working in Revit 2010 and have a question concerning the text format. When typing a series of notes that are numbered, the text field does not align the text separately from the numbers. AutoCAD has the capacity to use the number “wizard” (also used in Windows Word programs) so that when you get to the end of a text line and hit enter the following number starts the next line and the text is spaced away from the number appropriately. I was unable to find the ability to do this in Revit. Is the text command set up for this? Where and how? I am currently cheating the program by using two text fields, one with the coorsponding numbers and the other with the notes.

I use a Key Schedule. See David's blog entries. Not perfect but clean and fairly efficient. I do all my different notes in a separate schedule; concrete, wood, general, roof, etc. Because they are schedules you can place them on the sheet you want and/or set up a notes sheet in your template. Just another option until we get a serious text editor.
