I am looking for an easy way to make a roof like the one in the attached pdf sketch. The triangular floor slabs have different corner heights. I need to be able to control/change the elevations of these corner points easily in the design process.
What I dream of is to be able to sketch the footprint of a triangular slab, and then set the elevation (from base level) of each corner point. I've been experimenting with the slope arrow but can't seem to find a intuitive way of making this work as smoothly as I want.
Any suggestions?

Best method would be to create a mass extrusion with voids to cut the top to the appropriate level.
Then use roof by face.
