Hi guys,

Im in the process of transferring my blocks from autoCAD into Revit Families.  For my families, I want to be able to create something similiar to attributes. Where once the family is loaded I can move the 'attribute' and rotate if needed. I have tried creating labels but once i load the family in the label is unable to be moved. I than tried to create an imbedded tag within the family and once the family is loaded i am unable to edit, move nor rotate the tag. I understand that I should load my family and than tag the family but i work for an electrical engineering company so we may have for example, 20 gpo's loaded in the one floor plan but the different gpo's will have different information displayed. So does this mean i need a different tag for each instance??? My boss wants the text to be linked to each instance so i cant use just standard text. I really want the revit version of an AutoCAD attribute if this even possible.

I have spent over a week now trying to resaerch this and trying different options but so far i have been unsuccessful. any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

If you have different information for each GPO, just create instance, shared parameters for those in the GPO family and create a tag that reads those variables.
