Morning Chaps, I had a search through the forum but couldn't find anything similar using the search function, so I apologise if this has been covered before. I'm having a problem with wall sweeps and reveals. I have a wall that has a particular shape to the top edge, specifically designed to allow another structural element with the corresponding base profile to just slot into place on site. I can model the profiles no problem. However, there are times when the top profile will need to be cut back to allow for doors and windows that are going to be placed into walls on the floor above. I have created a wall based void family to create these 'gaps' in the top profile, and it almost works a treat. It does cut through the profiles/reveals of the top of the wall. UNTIL the top of the wall based void family is aligned with the top of the wall, at that point, the wall based void family seems to remove the wall sweeps/reveal profile from the area of wall just beneath it. I realise that's a lot of wordage, so I have attached a handy picture to illustrate my point! My main problem is that why does the wall based void family interact normally with the wall sweeps/reveals, until it is aligned with the top of the wall, at which point it stops working properly. If anyone has the solution to this I would be eternally grateful as it doesn't make any sense to me!
