I don't use structure but this should be the same. You should be sble to see all linked model elements and you control that through VG. Start by reading your HELP "Controlling Visibility and Graphic Override Settings for Nested Linked Revit Models". You can set the link to display by your view's VG settings or modify the VG for the link seperately.

Check the discipline settings in the veiws, and try setting the linked models display settings to a host view in VG.

If you can see the item in 3D, then it is a model element and you can see it. If it is a detail (2D) item, you will only see it if you link the view. Tell us what you are missing and in what views. In addition to VG, you need to check the model's positioning. You culd be hiding their items with yours. Does the architect's model have phases? Does yours?

i can only see floor outlines, some windows and doors, and roof truss in all views i have gone and turned every thing on in the the vg. There are no structural items in our model to hide there and when i click the light bulb to show hidden items you can not see them there either. and There are no phases to the drawings

Part of our proplem when dealing with newbies is vernacular. We can guess all day but we are probably not speaking tghe same language. Create some screen images (screen hunter is free) of your settings. Include one of your plan VG - model categories, then from that VG the tab for the revit link and then click on the display settings there and give us a shot of the Model categories tab in the Revit Link.

Have you tried setting the view discipline to "coordination" instead of "structural"? Others have mentioned checking the visibility graphics settings. Have you turned everything on from all disciplines? As WWHub said, some screen caps would help us help you.

We need to see the next image. For both link elements, you have it set to custom so show us what the custom VG settings are. I also see that the phase filter for the link is set to show all, you might try show complete.
