In Revit 2010 the raster images get corrupted when I exit the program and return. In other words, the raster images are fine when I import them and remain fine until I exit the program and then return. When I return, some, not all raster images are corrupted! The images that are corrupted are TIFF format.

I realized while writing this post what the solution is! The solution: Don't use TIFF images! Yes, the program says you can use TIFF images, but... The same images in JPEG did not get corrupted...at least not yet. PROBLEM SOLVED!
