I have recently started working on Revit 2010 version, I want to add some new materials to the library but can't seem to find a way to store them. The only way i found to create the material is to duplicate the existing material and change the properties of it, but I have a customized a database which I would like to use over customizing each material separately, Does anyone know if this is possible? or Mental ray still does not allow new materials to it?

You can do that in Other versions like Revit 9.1 or 2008 but in 2009 and 2010 you can't, what you can do is in a "Template" file create all materials you want, create all walls you usually use and doors and windows, then save that template file and use that for every projects you want....
