Hi all!  I hope someone can help me out here:

I have to draw a knock-out panel in a section.  I know how to cut out an opening, on the elevation view.  However, Revit's not letting me change depth of the opening from one side to another.  I can't seem to angle the cut through the wall.

 Can anyone help me please?!?!

 Thanks!

 L

If you want a partial depth cut, do an in-place void family.

BUT the real question is why model this?  If you are talking about a section view, just use your edit cut profile tool for each layer of your wall.  ORa masking region.

NOT everything needs to be modeled.

I can't even do a cut-profile because it involves cutting out in an elevation view (facing the wall) and whatever i cut is going to appear as a straight cut.  and i can't change from either side of the wall.

I think I may have to do the masked region tool.  I'm just thinking that there has to be a better way...

 thanks!

You first said a section view and now you say elevation view.

I still don't understand what you want but the in-place void or just 2D work should solve your problem.
