Hello Everyone, I am fairly new to Revit, but over the last couple months I have been producing a few sets of renderings for clients with 2010. I have been teaching myself as I go along, and for the most part have been able to figure things out pretty well. However, I have noticed that many of the renderings have areas that look mottled or splotchy, almost like a piece of paper with ink or pencil lead smudged on it. I have attached an image showing what I mean. It seems mostly to plague vertical surfaces, but I have had it happen to all sorts of materials. In the attached image, there is a painted wall next to a frosted glass and metal demountable partition, all of which are exhibiting this mottling. I have seen it on many other materials as well - wood, wallcovering, fabric, etc. - in scenes lit with natural and artificial light. I have a feeling there is a simple adjustment I can make somewhere, in the rendering settings or with the lights or something, but I just don't know what it is. Can anyone help me out with some suggestions? Thanks a million in advance! -James

I think the issue you are haveing is that there is not enought light for the material to render correctly
