i have a model that the architect gave me of a school. i imported the link into MEP 2010. and everything is working fine, except when i went to print a sheet all the information from the link prints very light. i can't figure out how to make it darker. i don't want the architects model to be as dark as what i have put in, but the walls are printing almost non-existant. i ended up exporting the dwg's and printing with AutoCad to get the look i want. that can't be the best way.

Think visibility... VG. The visibility of all items, including linked items, is controlled through VG. I will bet the your MEPO template is set to show your linked file as screened.

thanks for the response. i have been all through the VG tables and can't figure out what is set up wrong. every totorial that i have watched, tell me not to copy the walls when i do the copy/monitor part of loading the link. but do i need to copy the walls to get them to show darker. it's as if they are being set to half-tone but nothing is marked that way. also you made a reference to the MEPO, where is that located in the VG.

well the best that i could get revit to do was if in the print setup, i checked convert halftones to thin lines. at least now you can see the walls, but they are still too light.

If you go to View Proerties and change your Discipline to Architectural or Coordination, Your link will appear darker in that view. If you go to VG > Revit Links and change your discipline to Arch or Coord. it will make your link appear darker in all views.... uh i think...
