My project has various links, linked into a central file. I have made views in these link files which are then set up in the central file using the visibilty graphics and customizing the view to the specific view in my link. The problem is that when i save back to central file, the views keep being over witten back to there original state. Is there a way around this that doesnt involve asking everyone else to delete there local files and re-save from the central with my specifc views???

If I understand correctly, you are setting up the views in the central file. Create the views in a local file - no-one should work in the central file.
