I am interesting in knowing what most people do with regard to setting up a company standard project template and your title blocks. We have a Schematic Design (simplified title block) and a Construction Document title block. Would you create two project templates; one with a SD title block, one with a CD title block OR would you have both title blocks in the template project? Any other creative ideas on project templates and their sheet setup? Thanks,Jeff

Granted, I don't have as much experience with setting up templates as others on this forum, but I think I would just have both titleblocks in the template.

Limit your number of templates. It makes things easier to manage and easier for your users. Plus you don't end up with a situation where users use the wrong template to start a project and then you have to transfer settings etc.

OK, so I limit my templates to one. What procedure would you suggest to move a project from Schematic Design (using a SD title block) to Construction Documents (using a CD title block)?

Remember, nothing is frozen in your file so there is no reason to try and maintain your SD sheets. Make a "hardcopy" of your SD - PDF's/DWF's? and I like to archive a copy of the central, then just start placing your views on new sheets or swapping the titlebocks as appropriate.
