Hey all..

Im using revit 2009 architecture, starting at a new firm that is switching to revit from autocad. Ive been asked to make the templates, libraries for them etc. Matching the way they have been doing it in autocad.

 attached is a problem im having with a custom window tag, hoping someone here is able to help me with it..

and what is the problem btw :p?

the tag works as it should with me,

showing the window type name.

problem i get is when i change the width of the window, the tag dosnt update. Also when i place windows vertically....the tag wont rotate Puh

Click on the tag - you have an option in the options bar for vertical or horizontal.

man than was obvious...

my new boss seems to think everything is done at a click of your fingers on revit...and wants me to speed the process up even more!!

and you only been working with revit for two days i ques? Smile

if there is no Height and Width label in the window tag family, why would revit feel the need to update it?

open up the window tag family and add labels for the height and width?

actually, no....been using it for a while (no pro mind you), but I havent had to tag windows like this since i was on autocad haha
I usually tag the windows and do a windows schedule. These guys dont do schedules!! :S
 
i got more commercial fitout experience, thats why ive never had to tag windows before. My usual work involved just making custom models before :D

Didnt want to insult you on the two days thing there, but if you would have looked into the Window tag family i would quess most of the tag editing would explaine itself,

i had a quick 1 min edit and its more or less done,

no probs....not insulted, never had to modify window tags before Smile
but im pretty good at modelling bars, clubs and cafes' hahaha
