What do I call you? Reviteers? BIMers?

Anyway, nevermind you guys,  this is my thread I get to talk about myself! Puh

I used to work for a GIS Spatial Planning agency as a network administrator, but never had the chance to mess with the software they used (mostly AutoCAD/Maya). Due to boredom and unemployment, I have decided to backtrack and explore some of the Autodesk software.

AutoCAD seems a little boring to me... and Maya is a little too advanced at the moment, but I am really enjoying Revit and I think I got all of the basics down. From what I can see, the 3D rendering in Revit is not very good and I am approaching the point where I am ready to start focusing on the 3D aspect. I noticed a lot of people are rendering their projects in 3DS Max, so I'm looking at that.

I used to use Bryce for rendering landscapes and buildings, but it was far too limited/simple/easy and I highly doubt it works with revit.

My question to you: Is 3ds Max easier/better than Maya? For the record, I don't plan on animating my renders.

Which one is more valued in the industry if I were to seek employment?
