Revit Architecture 2010 I have a project that I haven't worked on for a while. I believe that I just renamed the "Level 1" to be "First Floor" and started drawing walls and such on the First Floor Plan view. Most of the representation of walls are in fact a referenced AutoCAD file from another architect who did the original building shell. Now I am drawing in Revit Wall so that I can finally delete the AutoCAD reference floor plan. Now when I create a section, the default "Level 1/First Floor Level" line and Level Icon are not visible... Also when I check the properties of a new wall, the Level 1/First Floor level does not appear in the list and it has the new walls anchored to the "Reflected Ceiling Plan" level.... The only level that appears automatically on the new sections is the level for the "First Floor Reflected Ceilling Plan" that I just created. On a section, how can the default and levels in use be made to appear? I am hesitant to just create a new level and call it the first floor line if it already exists somewhere... it must exist because I created a floor plan view and that specific level is not appearing on the sections...

Add a scope box and adjust its extents to "contain" your building. Then draw a new "temporary level" in one of your elevations. Then right click and choose "select all instances" of the levels (should see multiple selected in your filter), go to your instance properties and apply their extents to the scope box. HTH.

Hi Chris, I followed your instructons the letter and no additional or hidden levels appeared in the elevation... Please see the attached screenshot. This is really odd...

The (previous) attachment shows that when I change the name of the reflected ceiling plan it changes the name of the level at 0'-0" to that same name....

When you rename an associated level view, Revit asks you if you want to rename the level and views. You do not have to say yes.
