It's pretty hard to read a schedule full of yes's & no's. Is there a way to reset the yes/no value back to neutral so that only the yes's appear and the other cells are empty??When you first create a schedule with yes/no parameters the value is neutral with neither "yes" or "no" displaying in a given cell (ie. blank). If you tick a cell and set it's value to "yes", and then decide later that value needs to be changed, the only option appears to be "no" instead of also being able to reset back to neutral. I'd hate to think that in order to be consistant I have to change all the neutral values to "no"?? which then becomes a real mess to read on a large schedule (I'm working with hundreds of doors and windows !!)I've tried holding the usual keys (ctrl / shift etc) and clicking on the tick box but it keeps returning back to yes or no.A solution would be great, thanks.

Y/N is just that- either Y or N. But why not be creative and add a calculated field? if(y/nParameter, "Y", " " ) As a text field. Then just turn off your y/n column.

Thanks heaps for that !! I had actually created these parameters as project parameters, so I plugged your formula into a calculated value and it works a treat. Cheers.

I would also like to know if there was a way to do this without the workaound. The yes/no parameter works great, and if you don;t mess anythign up (by accidentaly clicking a yes box), it will remain blank. There should be a way to reset this to blank. But then again, it IS Revit!

This thread is old but when I put "if(y/nParameter, "Y", " " )" into a calculated Value I get "The Following Is Not A Valid Schedule Field) Thanks, I am certainly the one at fault.....just ask my wife!

You took that too literal. You need to replace "y/nParamter" with the actual name of the y/n parameter in your schedule. For example, based on the photo you attached, if "THRESHOLD" were your y/n parameter, then you would use the formula: if(THRESHOLD, "Y", " ").
Good luck.
