Example: Our Washers & Dryers are 2'7" deep, but require 4'3" depth of clearance. Can we add a "guideline" to our Washer/Dryer families so our designers can see the required 4'3" depth? (but NOT have this "guideline" appear on plans)

Add an invisible line to the family ... but be aware that this line is part of the family and if any part of the family is in another room, the family will be scheduled accordingly. This line will only shown when the item is picked. NOTE... You can change your family insertion point... reference plane to be in this location so the family is inserted in the right place.

Something that we have been doing with our kitchen equipment is making a new object style subcatagory in the family and calling it clearance. It has a dashed linetype, and you can go to V/G and turn it off in any view you don't want to see it.

Tried both ways - I wish the lines in TKennedy's method also appeared when the item is picked (like WWHub's invisible lines do) but it's simple enough to turn them on in V/G settings. Thanks.
