Revit 2009

How can a finish (parameter?) be added to an element that will load into a finish schedule? I have a reoccuring element (not a wall, but an extruded object) that will be painted one of two colors. This paint information would need to add itself to the finish schedule. Will provide any additional info needed.

If it's not painfully obviously I am week 1 into teaching myself Revit. Calls to acquire teaching aside, I appreciate your patient input.

Since it is early in your revit experience, spend some time understanding parameters - shared and project.  The HELP file will help a lot.

Next, spend some time in the help under schedules.  Almost everything in Revit can be scheduled but there are real limitations on the schedule format.  Room schedules for most of us end up with a lot of manual categories.  This sweep would be one of those.

It may be easiest for you to look into making a TEXT finish parameter and just manually fill in the schedule.
