(Revit Architecture 2010) I am working on getting a finish plan ready, and am using room tags that report the Floor Finish, Base Finish, Wall Finish, & Ceiling Finish parameters. A curious thing has happened, because something like half of the rooms that I have do not allow me to enter any data for these parameters. The rest of the rooms work just fine. The project is a new construction only (this doesn't appear to be a phasing problem). Other parameters (like Comments, etc) for the affected rooms seem to be working. When I create new rooms, the finishes parameters are available for data entry, but I am trying to avoid having to replace the affected rooms since they have already been tagged in many different views. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? (or how to repair/fix the existing rooms?) Thanks in advance for any help!

My guess would be that the room objects in question have a "Room Style" applied to them and that style is blank keeping you from entering the data as you desire. Go to the properties of the room and see if the "room style" parameter is there. If is is, set it to "none" then you should be fine.

Thank you Tom, you are a Revit Hero. After reading your post, I went into the Help files searching for more information on Room Style Schedules, but I could not find any good documentation there. Do you know where I could do some more reading about the Room Styles function? Thanks again!Andy
