For the open end of ductwork in a plenum ceiling, I want to create a wiremesh covering over the end. I attempted to use the ductwork endcap and modify it. I had a couple of issues. I tried to actually draw a 1/4" mesh but found it hard to make it flex for all the different sizes. The endcap flexes to any ductwork size. So I thought what if I used a hatch or a pattern and locked it into the width and height, would it work and flex correctly? I cant seem to find a way to add it into a family. *** The other strange issue I had was that the endcap, after I "saved file as" and modified it and loaded it into the model, would not show up even though the endcap would show up. i didnt change anything as for the properties, and I couldnt find what was keeping it from being viewed, but when I added it, it said it is not able to be seen in this view . . . .Etc, but the other endcap could come in fine. Also, i was able to change an andcap to the modified one in the plan no porblem, just couldnt insert it from scratch.

Can't you just add a material to the endcap with a pattern applied to it?
