This jsut started today - using 2010.

When I select an object and attempt to move or modify it (context tab activated) the display jumps and looks like it "opens" four windows or something. I can't describe it any other way. The view that I have open shifts down on the screen and the object that I've selected (e.g. a door) moves in an uncontrolled way. I basically can't edit anything like this. Any help would be appreciated.

I managed to "capture" an image of the shift in progress. It only lasts for a fraction of a second.

Did you install the "Web Updates" to Revit 2010?

I've installed one Update and one Wall Modification Hotfix. The problem is related to one model as other projects and templates work fine.

Okay, Both updates installed. The problem still exisits. And now it happens on other projects and in the family editor as well. I jsut tried to create a new roof based family, drew a referance plane, and when I went to select it I got the five window shift and the reference plane moved about 2 feet. I really can't use revit now at all.

After speaking to someone else, the problem was with the options bar. Apparently this has been reported by other users. For some reason, when I would pickan object, multiple options bars were appearing in quick succession; depending on the file, this may be two options bars or up to five. The solution was to right click the options bar and dock it at the bottom. It doesn't happen anymore, but I would still like to know why this happened in the first place.
