Hi im farily new to revit. I'm currently working on Revit Architecture 2010 and have been for about a month. I have been creating quite a detailed model and at present our structural engineers do not use revit. My question is, what is the best method for creating structural connections? For example, i created bracket (see attached) by using a struct column famliy as a base and then changing the category to steel framing. Initially I used "structural connections" as the category. However i was have difficulty viewing the brackets in my plan details and asumed it was because i wasn't using Revit Structure. There are a number of steel column connections/fixings that i need to model and it would be good to know what category and what family template is best suited to these. Eventually we hope to get the structural guys working on revit but for now i will need to do these in Revit Arch... Cheers.
