Using Mental Ray in 2009 to render, I swear the RPC people used to render correctly but now they are black flat looking cardboard cutouts. Anyone know how to fix this?

Are these 2009 people or ones you used with accu-render? Accurender people will not work in 2009/2010.

I get these from the 2009 Imperial Library. I went in and added the path to the Entourage folder where they are located in Options, but still black cutouts.

Something must be wrong with your path or the file. They work here.

I am going to Settings, Options, Rendering, and being sure that under "Additional Render Appearance Paths" that the location for the folder of RPC people families is listed in that box. Still have problems rendering the RPC people, but not the RPC trees and shrubs. What am I missing here?

I have attached an image of a draft rendering showing the problem and showing the Option box where I have attempted to place all of the paths to RPC content that might apply to this problem. Is there somewhere else I need to be placing paths? You can see the successfully rendered figures in the two cars and wheelchair person, but not the RPC figure.

You probably have a bad RPC figure. One figure of the RPC groups of figures we were using would not render... so I changed the figure.

One thing, if you want to use OLD RPC from 2008 and 2009, change the name, START by "Archvision_.RPC like you can see in the image, check if those RPC names start by "ArchVision...."
