In our Room Finish Schedule we have a field where the ceiling heigth is shown.  Is there any way using the Revit Formula Syntax and Abbreviations settings for the field, to have the height inputed automatically. This would probly be based on our ceiling level setting shown in elevation at 8'-0".  Can the syntax abbreviations calculate and see outside the schedule (I.E. the model).

I have never tried this, but I do know there is a tag for ceilings that automatically tags the height, and it uses a "offset from base" parameter I believe. So I would think that if you used the same parameter in a schedule it would work. Like i said though I have never tried it, but let me know how it goes.

Thanks that sounds like it might work.  I would like to try it though...I can't seem to figure out which tag to use?  Or is this a custom tag I need to create?  Thanks!

Just an update...I found the default ceiling tag showing the height automatically, now I'm attempting to adjust the schedule to see this tag, having trouble.  I'll keep trying though.

Ok, in the parameter data options, for editing my schedule "ceiling height" feild, I was able to find the "family type: Ceiling Tags", but now I'm not sure what to use in my "group parameter under" drop down options. I have proceeded with the process of elimination, but each choice I select, (I.E. constraints, other, text, materials and finishes) do not seem to be working?  Also, in the right hand side of the window, should I have any, all, or none of the catagory boxes checked?  Thankyou for your suggestions so far, I feel as though I'm making progress,  it will be awesome if we can get this to work!
