Is there an easy way to import general notes from a dwg file into Revit and it looks ok.

Assuming the notes are AutoCAD mtext, edit them in ACAD, copy them and paste into Revit. You may have to set font and tab settings in Revit, but pretty painless.
Another option to consider is making JPG images of the notes. (This method assumes they are truely static general notes that never change) In this method I make the notes in MS Word, print to PDF file, open PDF in Acrobat crop as required and save out as JPG. Then in Revit insert the JPG onto a page. The nice thing about this method is you can have all the formating option in Word.
