Check this image.

The doors in this curtain wall (which is inserted in a opening cut in a concrete wall) are not centered. What i need is a pair of 3'-0" doors and two 18" sidelights. but I cant move the doors to center up. one sidelite is 1'-5-6/264 or something....I ve tried everything I know except redraw it.

I dont know what to do anymore. if I make the sidelites 18" then is shrinks the doors! I cant get what I want out of this tool, But I know it can do it.

It sounds like something is wrong with your door family.  I'm guessing that you might need to put and "EQ" dimension from the center of the door and the two ends (in the family), but it's a shot in the dark without seeing your family.  Also make sure your center reference plane is your orgin (in the properties of the reference plan).  If that doesn't help, post your family to the forum.  If you're running 2009, I'll opening it up and see if I can figure it out.

Are you trying to move the actual door or the grid lines?  The curtain grid lines define the door width and position.  If you can't move them they are probably constrained, so you need to un-constrain them.
