I have used Autohotkeys and strokeit - both free, to create a very, very fast system for navigating the menus in Revit 2010

There is demo AVI file - and the files required to run it here....

The mouse gesture software is here

If you dont want to gesture just press ALT and X keys.

Enjoy Smile

IMHO, unless you use both hands for the mouse, using the keyboard shortcuts (that are shown in the flyout menus) would be much faster.  The idea is pretty cool though!  THanks for sharing!

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

I agree completely, the 2 key shortcuts are without doubt the fastest way to access commands - but until you can remember all of them and type without looking at your keyboard, this speeds things up a heck of a lot..... I did for the guys in my office who refuse to do anything other pick commands on screen, which is fine if thats how they work I wanted to make it better for them - I have not picked buttons for years myself, I use gestures and keyboard shortcuts. I started years ago with "generic cad" and knew every single 2 key shortcut, and have worked that way ever since then - Now all I need is a computer that can keep up with me Smile
