So when I plot drawings from AutoCAD, text plots clean and crisp. When I plot from Revit the text seems to be sloppy/inconsistant - the line thickness changes slightly. I thougt maybe if I plot to PDF from revit and see how that goes, the text gets worse and little dots begin to show behind the text. Any curved letter/number does not show curved, but instead a series of stright lines, as if I needed to regen in AutoCad or something. As a side note... what font do most people out there use for Construction Documents? Thank you for any help resolving this issue.

Are you plotting raster by chance?.... Can't expect clean lines if you are doing a raster plot

I always keep the print setup on high, I even tried presentation to no avail. I originally was doing vector processing and switched to raster looking for some changes, but got the same results. I need to scan some of the text that I am looking at to give you guys a better idea of what is going on. Thank you for the quick replies and the effort to help.

Ok I have attached 2 images. One is a Revit plot and the other is an AutoCAD plot at exact same size. The revit plot was set at high on vector processing. Notice how much cleaner the lines are on the ACAD plot, and alot of inconsistancy in the Revit plot? Anyone ever had this problem?

IMHO neither looks really clean. I use ARchitxt. I attached the ttf file. Place it in your windows fonts folder and duplicate and rename a text. Use vector processing. If you don't like handletter style, a favorite font is Arial. Try that and let us know please. John

I've tried a list of Fonts to include Arial. They all come out looking inconsistant when plotted from Revit, but that same list plotted from AutoCAD comes out fine. I chose to show the line inconsistancies of Simplex on the above images because that is what my Office uses, but it also seems to show the imperfections the most since the line wt is so skinny compared to Arial or others. Appreciate the effort, but it doesnt matter what font type I use, it just will not plot out consistantly from Revit.
