I have a brick entry to do. the front door of this house is set back from the brick arched entry area. I made a brick arch door opening to cut through the brick entry wall. then the front door goes on the wall beyond that..like a porch. But in elevation view whats happening is your looking through the arched opening to the front door, but revit wont show the front door beyond the arched opening. so it looks blank. is there a work around for that? check out the image. right side is 3d, left side is elevation view. see how it greys out beyond. Michael

Did you change the "Far Clip Offset" in that elevation view?

Have you resolved this problem? I am faced with a very similiar situation where the view through the door opening is grayed out as in your image....it does not seem to be a clipping issue either. Thanks

Look at your plane, is the view depth far enough to include what is beyond? Is this truely an opening?

After some more poking around it seems that in the family editor you have to set the wall opening to be transparent in elevation. Attached is an image showing where to find the check box. And thanks for the help-- I wouldn't be learning revit very well without the help I'm finding on revitcity.

You did it man! It was the perameter in the library part. thanks for mining that out! I knew it wasn't the clipping plane because it all defauls unlimited. Michael
