I'm not exactly a noob, but we have just installed 2010 and when using the leader with two segments, it just uses the bar for pointing to the item being called out instead of an arrow or crosshair. it's the same bar as with no leader. can this be changed? thanks for your help.

No. We used to have an arrow cursor. The factory thought the bar or text cursor was an improvement. I'm still trying to get used to it.
