ok, so this I am preparing plumbing drawings for a 60% submission for a large project. I have never used revit other than in the training I was sent to, however I am extremely capable with autocad, and am adapting well to REVIT.... that being said, here is my question: when you guys design systems, say you only want to show just main runs, not branch piping and not connected into fixtures, how do I do that without things going crazy, I am trying to run three pipes down a hallway, and have put connectors on work planes I made, and every time I connect, I cannot see the piping, even though my plans cut plane is wide enough to see both the floor and 1' above and below. I could just run piping but it seems like a waste to not use REVITs system feature from the beginning. Do you guys have any tips for creating plumbing systems from the start? should I just connect to fixtures right from go? thanks in advance for any help. Nick

Is it possible that the display settings for that particular view it not letting you see it? Right click on the veiw on the navagation window and goto properties. Another window will open and click on "visability/ graphics override". Scroll through there and see if the object you are setting is "checked". If not, then it will not be seen in that view.

Well...you could create a union that will allow you to connect two seperate systems to each other (I think its either a global connection or a other connection) and set up seperate systems for mains and for branches allowing you just to use the filters and turn them off or on.

Well I don't know anything about it, but I was just wandering on how to make a poll.
