All I seem to be having trouble persuading my cellular beams to connect from column to column as in the attachment. I get a 'can't make type' message as i try to drag to the column or place column to column. It seems that I am not allowed to take my beam past the apparent intersection of another beam. I would like this to be my decision. Any ideas? I'm using RS2009. Many thanks, Jamie

Not enough info. Are you using the out-of-box family? Have you modified it?
