hi all, not been on for awhile. i used R2008 for a long time and used R2009 more recently.  but R2009 does not seem to allow the old trick of using the host sweep command in roof fascia mode to add things like ridge and hip cappings onto roof internal 'edges'. has anyone experienced this? if so have you found a work around? i am aware that we can put a mini roof over the main roof, but that is not helpful in 1:20 details. also puts extra lines on roof plan views when using wire frame and over ridden linetypes.

"but R2009 does not seem to allow the old trick of using the host sweep command in roof fascia mode to add things like ridge and hip cappings onto roof internal 'edges'."

Images of what you really want please, because i'm not sure what are you talking about, in 2009 you can also apply the roof fascia and the roof gutter...

By the Way, did you upgrade to the "Web Update 3" for Revit 2009?

well typhoon, r2009 does not allow host sweeps within a roof, only the edges.  i believe r2010 is the same.  these threads discuss it a lot.

most dissappointing i must say.  i will have to attempt in place families sweeps i think.
