I dont need it to change shape or size, just this one instance. here is the profile michael

Ive also made the settings for type a "wall sweep" now it shows in the project but doesnt let me finish the sweep. says it cannot create sweep. Arrrgggg. if I change to a generic profile for the path its fine, but when I choose my profile for the sweep the box comes up and says it cannot create sweep. delete elements?.

When U created the profile, did you assign it to the correct category? Within the family editor - settings / category and parameters - pick the correct usage. Then in the project, you have to create the sweep type and assign this profile to it.

The mass Hid itself after I created it in my project, I dont know why. there it was ready for finish mass button to be hit, when I did it disappeared and I found it and unhid it after...weird. M

don't use the mass tool to create object, only forms, then you have the "Wall, Roof, slab and curtain system by face", the Mass tool it's only an auxilar tool, if you want you can use the "Create-in-place" with the right category to create forms also....

Well. None of what you wrote really made any sense to me. if I cant use the mass tool, what then do I do to create a top of wall coping like I just did? Form? what do you mean? wall roof slab....I know all these tools but what you wrote wasn't complete to get across what you are saying. can you please explan a little more? thanks Michael

Use the Create-in-place, NOT MASS, you can create all forms you want with the create in place... (sweep, extrusion, blend....)
