Hello all...
How do I create an elevator that will show up on every floor plan on which the elevator stops? I think this has something to do with the reference level of the family, the host level for the object, and the height...? Step-by-step instructions are greatly, greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

You should download family from somewhere, like revitcity, insert in plan view and make hole in floor if go thru. May be you will not find elevator family for your level distance, so edit family and change height before ...

Our typical method is to use the lift doors and place on every level. These have a symbolic representation for the car built into them... Just a matter of inserting the doors on one level, copying to the clipboard and using paste by level and select all the levels you need the doors on...

NEW PARAMETRIC ELEVATOR FROM REVIT CONTENT.COM IS VERY IMPRESSIVE, YOU CAN CREATE ANY CABIN FROM ROUNDED TO SQUARED SHAPES AND HAVE ALL THE ELEVATOR TYPES. THE ALL IN ONE FAMILY HAS A CATALOGUE FILE.....WHICH ALREADY HAS ALLOT OF OTIS PRE SET TYPES. BY FAR THE BEST FAMILY I HAVE SEEN.... ALL THE OTHE FAMILIES I HAVE PURCHASED ARE AMAZING www.revit-content.com

You should download Elevatorarchitect, an elevator plug-in for Revit. The application suggests you the elevator you need and import it into your Revit project. It shows the overall depth of the car and car doors on all floors. A detailed representation of the car and doors are available on the lowest floor.
Elevatorarchitect is available as free download at http://www.digipara.com/DownloadEARevit.aspx

Essentially, I'm just hoping to make a little lift which will be private my primary base. It just requirements to help 2 or 3 persons so perhaps 4 x 2 pieces.
